VOLUNTEER AT ENGINEERS WEEK 2025

ANNOUNCEMENTS

undefined undefined

Thank you to all of our members who attended our January events! The ASCE/APWA Joint Luncheon on Public Works Visibility provided valuable insights into how public works professionals can enhance their recognition as first responders. It was followed by the Multi-Region Leadership Conference (MRLC) for Regions 8 and 9 in San Diego, which brought together aspiring leaders from across the region for workshops on leadership, networking, and personal development. The Express Lanes Operation Center Tour at the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) gave members a behind-the-scenes look at the innovative operations that are improving mobility in the region. We appreciate everyone’s participation in these engaging and educational events.

Looking ahead, Engineers Week is just around the corner. We encourage you to get involved and help us celebrate the profession’s incredible contributions to the world! Read on to learn how you can volunteer during Engineers Week and make a positive impact on the lives of our future engineers.

JOIN OUR BOARD

The ASCE San Jose Branch is looking to fill the position of Assistant Treasurer. The Assistant Treasurer will support the Treasurer in duties such as: maintaining Branch financial records; monitoring Branch transactions and budget; and assisting with in-person events.

The role will require a commitment through October 2025 with the expectation of filling the role of Treasurer for the 2025-2026 ASCE year. This is a great opportunity for an ASCE member looking to take on a leadership role at the local level and opens the door for higher positions in the Branch, Section, and beyond. If you are interested in this role, please email us at ascesanjosebranch@gmail.com.
