SAN FRANCISCO SECTION AWARDS DEADLINE EXTENDED

Applications for Individual and Project Awards are being accepted through July 15, 2025.
ASCE San Francisco Section Individual Awards recognize individuals for outstanding achievements or leadership in civil engineering, or who through their work, support and advance the profession. Nominations can be made by any Branch, Younger Member Forum, Life Member Forum, Technical Group, Committee, or individual member. Additional specific criteria governing each Individual Award must also be satisfied.
ASCE San Francisco Section Project Awards recognize outstanding Civil Engineering projects in the San Francisco Section geographic area. Only projects completed within the San Francisco Section geographic area are eligible for consideration. The following is a list of counties in the San Francisco Section: Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Lake, Napa, Sonoma, Marin, Solano, San Francisco, Contra Costa, San Mateo, San Jose, Alameda, Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, Merced, Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Kings and Tulare.

TECHNICAL WEBINAR: CREATING BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR PUBLIC WORK PROJECTS

Join ASCE SJ YMF for a virtual webinar on developing budget estimates for public works projects! This session will provide an inside look at how public agencies create realistic and effective budget estimates that align with project goals and funding limitations. Drawing from real-world experience and Santa Clara County standards, our presenter, Paul Pascoal, Sr. Civil Engineer from Santa Clara County, will walk through the key steps, common challenges, and best practices for producing reliable cost projections for public infrastructure and capital improvement projects.
