Volunteer Opportunity

Want to make a real impact in just 1 hour a week? Become a virtual mentor and help high school students in Salinas tackle hands-on engineering projects like line-following robots and wind tunnel design!

 

This fall (Sept 15 – Nov 3, 2025), guide motivated students as they apply skills in C++, CAD modeling, and prototyping. Support the next generation of STEM leaders and inspire future innovators.

Coastal Cleanup Volunteer Day

Join the ASCE San Jose Young Member Forum for a volunteering opportunity for Coastal Cleanup Day on September 21st from 9:00am-12pm at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge Environmental Education Center. Join the ASCE San Francisco Section for their Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner. This signature event brings together members, officers, and students from across the geographic region served by the San Francisco Section. It offers a valuable opportunity for industry professionals to connect and network, while also honoring the recipients of the Section’s Individual and Project Awards. The evening concludes with the formal installation of incoming officers for the Section, Branches, and Younger Member Forums, marking the transition into a new leadership year.

Engineers Week 2026

Engineers Week aims to inspire future generations of engineers and provide opportunities for K-12 students to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through professional panels, discussions, and hands-on engineering activities. Our goal is to expose students from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to the field of engineering and engage them in a fun and meaningful experience.
