FEBRUARY BOARD MEETING

WANTED: STUDENT OUTREACH & SOCIAL MEDIA CHAIRS

ENGINEERS WEEK: LAST CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Last month, a group of ASCE San Jose Younger Member Forum (SJ YMF) leaders attended the Multi Region Leadership Conference (MRLC), where they participated in a series of impactful sessions, technical tours, the annual CYM Business Meeting, and the Western Region Younger Member Council (WRYMC) Awards Banquet. We are pleased to announce that San Jose YMF was honored with two prestigious awards:

Outstanding Younger Member Group Project

Awarded to Karina Huete, EIT, ENV SP, Andrea Mosqueda, PE, and Amer Zreika for their exceptional work in organizing the Engineers Week 2024 event.

Outstanding Younger Member in the Private Sector

Awarded to Andrea Mosqueda, PE, in recognition of her outstanding contributions within the private sector.

These accolades are a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and leadership exhibited by our members. We are incredibly proud of the positive impact our YMF group continues to have on the civil engineering community. As we look ahead, we remain committed to furthering our mission and making a meaningful difference. If you are interested in becoming involved and contributing to our vibrant community, we encourage you to contact us at asce.ymf.sj@gmail.com.

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY: STUDENT OUTREACH & SOCIAL MEDIA CHAIRS WANTED!

The ASCE San Jose Younger Member Forum is looking for passionate individuals to join our team as Student Outreach Chair or Social Media Chair!

As Student Outreach Chair, you will take the lead on engaging with local college and university students. We have typically engaged with students from San Jose State, Santa Clara University, and Stanford University. This year we are hoping to broaden our reach and engage with community college students as well.

As Social Media Chair, you’ll oversee our Instagram, LinkedIn, and Linktree accounts, helping us connect with our community and share exciting updates. If you’re interested in managing and growing our online presence, this role is perfect for you.

If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you! Please reach out to us via email at asce.ymf.sj@gmail.com.
