Dr. Storesund has over 20 years of planning, design, engineering, and construction experience and has worked on a variety of projects throughout California, the United States, and internationally. Dr. Storesund provides consulting services in all aspects of civil, geotechnical, water resources, ecological, restoration, and sustainability engineering projects. His expertise is on the application of reliability and risk-based approaches to engineering projects in order to effectively manage project uncertainties. Dr. Storesund has participated in all aspects of engineering projects; from preliminary reviews to detailed analyses to construction observations and post-project monitoring. He provides expert forensic engineering services for engineered systems.

Michael has been employed with J.M. Turner Engineering since 2009. Michael specializes in excavation shoring design, structural design and construction engineering. Michael’s exceptional organizational, communication and time management skills, and his understanding of a practical design make him the ideal engineer for any project big or small.

Civil/environmental engineer and has worked in the environmental consulting field for over 20 years. He is an experienced and organized project manager/director who is an effective communicator that can work with regulators and the public to successfully deliver projects. Michael has several years of experience with SAFER, DWR, conveyance and detention, water reuse and application, environmental compliance, environmental compliance audits, environmental site assessments, public outreach, presentations, and training. Michael is an experienced trainer who is adept at communicating complex issues to the public. He also has extensive experience in project management and coordination with stormwater compliance, Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs), groundwater monitoring, drinking water systems, reporting, and remediation projects for sites in California, Oregon, and Nevada.
